The Romance of Botswana

The romance of a safari is hard to beat:  luxurious tented camps evoke the golden days of 19th century Africa, but nowadays come with en-suite bathrooms and gourmet cuisine.  By day, a horse, elephant or mekoro safari is a magical way to see the wildlife of Africa!

Botswana makes an ideal honeymoon destination:  it is relatively unexploited, its landscapes and the profusion of wildlife that is at its peak during the annual flood in the Okavango Delta in late spring and early summer are an unbeatable combination.  Arriving by private plane, (the best way to travel the distances between each remote lodge, especially during the flood), you can enjoy safaris by boat or canoe, day and night drives and still have time during the heat of the day to snooze in the sun or shade, walk, or watch birds and game from your camp.  The lodges are small, usually with around 8-10 rooms and offer every comfort and facility.  Even your drinks are included in the price.
